Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres, or “Isla” is an island off Cancun that is a favourite day trip. We caught the walk on ferry from near the RV Park and took a trip there today. It is really a great place that we will definitely visit again, maybe staying a couple of nights in a hotel. The island is a laid back version of Cancun, more in keeping with what I envision a Caribbean Island to be. Prices are much more reasonable than on the mainland and life moves much slower.

We walked the North Beach and were continuing along the boardwalk when we ran into our Quebecois neighbours from the RV park who we joined for a two for one “Happy Hour” at a nice little restaurant near the ferry. It was one of those great days that we will remember.

Breakfast spot. Life could be worse!

  2. I know I can always count on you Linda! You guys would love the Isla. Brooks can find many reasonable hotels for around $300 - $700 Pesos and things are much more laid back. Food is good and more reasonably priced and beaches are fantastic!
